This guy is really fun to draw. A pain in the butt at times, but hey, I have a really good excuse to draw spidery stuff as well as humanoid figures, so I'm pretty happy. I'm still not sure how he should be colored, though. Any suggestions?

I do wonder, though. Does anyone mind that this secondary deity is naked? I don't think it'd be a big deal. Oh well. That's what silk is for, right?

I'll admit, I watched a TV special about spiders on YouTube. I think it was National Geographic, but I'm not sure. Oh well. It was quite interesting, though I would have liked if they had cut down on the "Ooh spiders are so scary" music and imagery and just focused on the damn arachnids themselves. They also liked adding way too many sound effects whenever they zoomed in on spinnerets producing silk. Quite uncomfortable and a bit pornographic, really.

Oh, well, have a nice spider guy today. Spider-Man's got nothing on Ahnselkhet. After all, Ahnselkhet doesn't have to go chasing after his love interests and saving them from falling off buildings or other high places, nor does he have to work a day job.

Oh. And Ahnselkhet is actually a spider, not just a guy with jizzy wrists. That's another plus.

...Anyway. I've rambled enough. Let's see about saying something about the actual character himself for once.

Ahnselkhet was born of La Mere, the source of magic and consort of Merrkir, the god of time and fate. However, something strange happened on the day of Ahnselkhet's birth; Merrkir, usually one to see into the future and learn some details of his oncoming child, was unable to discern anything at all about Ahnselkhet. Nothing. Just a fog wherever he should have been in scenes from the future. For once, Merrkir didn't know what was going to happen, and it startled him. It didn't end there. The day Ahnselkhet was born was the day La Mere once again fell to death, a hundred years before her time was supposed to run out. Poisoned from within and giving birth to a horribly disfigured, monstrous child, La Mere nonetheless begged Merrkir to let the child live, to forgive him for something he had never meant to do in the first place.
Merrkir allowed Ahnselkhet to live, but was nothing short of neglectful toward him. The lack of vision for the child's future continued to torment the god of time, and thusly tormented Ahnselkhet himself. Fleeing his birthplace after only a year, knowing his father would never find him, Ahnselkhet hid in a colonist village, taking up residence in an old tower. Unfortunately, the villagers eventually discovered him, and in the usual manner for frightened humans, they tried to end his life, thinking him nothing but a monster. Godly creatures are notoriously impossible to kill, however, and Ahnselkhet had no choice but to kill most and scare away the rest.
Remaining in the village and building himself a proper web, Ahnselkhet discovered the books and ledgers the villagers had maintained, quickly figuring out their language and stories. However, there were no clear disclaimers between what was truth and fiction. Ahnselkhet, being made up of three separate minds and sharing a keen interest in history between them, decided the books should be joined as one in chronological order to paint a more complete picture of the world. He enjoys it to this day, his view of the world skewed by the belief that fables are real and far more important than mere parables on good behavior, and his nimble toes firmly planted where he had taken up residence.
Those who approach Ahnselkhet will first notice his size, which is comparable to most other deities, meaning about twice the height of an average adult human. The three heads are each their own individuals, taking the names Ahn (his rightmost), Sel (central), and Khet (his leftmost) to keep things a bit more orderly. Ahn tends to be worrisome and regretful, but enjoys reminiscing on better days. Sel keeps focused on whatever is going on at the moment, but can be overwhelmed by the details he's taking in. Khet, a dreamer and thinker by nature, usually has some pretty good ideas in mind, but doesn't always think things through. Any who speak to Ahnselkhet are likely to notice that the three heads often finish each others' sentences, shifting verb tense to whichever they prefer.
As long as this hypothetical visitor comes in peace, Ahnselkhet will be a very generous host, always excited to have someone new to talk to and learn from. In the event a fight breaks out, however, the assailant can expect to be plastered to the ground with silk, paralyzed by a bite from Sel, and either bitten by Ahn or Khet. Ahn's own bite kills slowly, spreading necrotic venom from the wound. Khet's bite, on the other hand, dissolves the victim's flesh and bones, along with anything other than metal they happen to be wearing or carrying.
