Ikfirus Profile

Man, I was a little too excited about this guy.

Y'know that boiling in your chest that you get when you're REALLY angry? Well, think of that plus a burning sensation and you'll start to understand what goes on inside of Ikfirus. This is the god of fire and destruction, an ender of all things, father of dragons, and best friend to anyone who wants to break things. He's brutish, rude, arrogant, merciless, and above all, angry! He definitely isn't someone you want to cross.
All of these traits would make him someone to either constantly appease or make an eternal enemy of if it weren't for his few redeeming qualities. While his fire destroys, it can also renew or reshape, giving metal from ore. Though destruction often hurts like the hellfire he represents, it brings new opportunities for growth and improvement. Even while Ikfirus is displeased with everything around him, he always has a plan for how it could be remade to be even better than it is. Plus, despite himself, he's also quick to aid those who are willing to admit how incredibly useless they are in their current, "unrefined" form.
Fire is all about shifting states of matter. Heat ramps up the speed of chemical reactions. Without Ikfirus, the world stagnates and dies in its own boredom. Love him or hate him, you can't go on without him.

His relationship to the other gods is typical of the other Malevolus Numina. The other disorderly deities, while cautious, are constant allies of his. Levok in particular has been a great friend to him, able to put Ikfirus' boundless energy and enthusiasm to use, bringing nutrients to the ground through lightning strikes. Storms are fun enough that Ikfirus will even put up with torrents of rain to take part.
As far as the Benignus Numina, Ikfirus is an enemy to most of them. Mijula, the goddess of water and eternity, douses his efforts almost every chance she gets, lest he get carried away and wreck everything. Merrkir, the god of time and fate, isn't fond of his tendency to wipe out the fate planned for individuals, either. Ikfirus' main target is Dorna, the diminutive goddess of earth and life. She isn't strong enough to stand against him on her own, allowing him to bully her around to his heart's content until her friend Mijula shows up. The only member of the Benignus Numina he can honestly respect is Uzhkadda, the goddess of light and truth. Fire's ties to light are too strong to deny, as is his acceptance of truth. Though he doesn't particularly go out of his way to make her happy, he rarely goes out of his way to bother her.
