Matron Reina

Of Sierra de Garra's four major bastions, Bastion de Doncellas is the northernmost. Nestled into mountains and surrounded by jagged hills of exposed stone, the bastion is naturally protected from those who would hope to invade. Regardless, some have tried. In ancient times, the bastion was under siege by a much larger (and now extinct) clan. The men of the bastion struck out to defend their wives and children, but were summarily killed and taken prisoner. Fleeing to the innermost caverns of the keep, the women discovered a shrine, hidden from all but the most daring of explorers. As the legend states, an apparition came before the women and taught them of war, instructing them to defend themselves and strategize. Through this spirit's assistance, the women of the bastion fought back against the clan, wiped them out, and rescued their husbands. 

It has been centuries since Bastion de Doncellas has been sieged, but Matron Reina continues to push her sisters to train. Though some would attribute this dedication to mere tradition, Reina has a passion for battle that has kept bandits, jealous neighbors, and even Doxkyrie at bay. Some may insinuate that all the training in the world cannot truly prepare someone for war, but rarely to Reina's face. She always proves them wrong, often with a few broken bones and a bloody nose.
