Big, docile, and draped from head to tail in fluffy moss, ox dragons are often used as beasts of burden, whether this means pulling a heavily laden cart, dragging logs from a forest, or even just carrying a passenger. They're not very fast and can't fly, but they're used to great effect in certain strip mines. Ox dragons, you see, gain most of what they need to survive from their coat of moss. It is no parasitic or even symbiotic relationship; the moss is grown straight from the dragon's skin. However, while photosynthesis is enough to make up for most of the dragon's nutriment, they spend most of the day grazing on dirt and rocks, gaining minerals from whatever they eat. Certain things can't be digested, though... Such as metal. All a strip miner has to do is follow their ox dragon around while they graze. Eventually, they'll be given a "gift" of metal and gems.
